Songs for You provides fortnightly singing sessions for people with dementia, their carers and older adults experiencing isolation to come together and sing a range of well-known songs plus some new ones in a safe and friendly environment. The project is vital for people who love music and singing or just want to be somewhere joyous and friendly – where they can share interests with others. There is always a chance for a cuppa and a piece of cake, plus laughter as well as plenty of singing.

Arts for Health were asked to assist with implementing the new acoustic panels which were installed in October on Brocton Ward following a recommendation by the CQC. Some of the panels are plain white so as not to detract from existing artwork, while up in the atrium we drew inspiration from the beach scene collaged mural which was created by service users earlier in the year.
