An event by Derby Air Arts, entitled Staff Voices – A Choral Forest exhibiting beautiful hand drawn tree sculptures by Artists E J Lance and Miles Halpin, inspired by the NHS. Along with a performance of powerful music and song from the UHDB’s Wellbeing choir and the Cathedral choirs in a performance that celebrates the strength of the NHS.
Arts for Health are contributing to the event with a display of artworks created by our inpatients and staff in 2021 – as part of Colour & Crescendo. Our musicians Richard Taylor (piano) and Sarah Whittingham (violin) will introduce and play their two new instrumental compositions which are a creative response to their visits to the hospital sites where they played for our inpatients and informed by the artworks by inpatients and staff.
Please join us for this event on the 8th October at 2pm – 4pm to listen to the music/songs and to see the displays – it will be a great event!! For more details see the Choral Forest poster.
Singing opportunity for MPFT staff
Any MPFT staff who would like to take part in the Choral Singing aspect of the event can get involved by joining rehearsals (in person or via zoom). There are no auditions as such and you don’t need to be an experienced singer but have an enthusiasm to join in! We have audio versions of the two songs which we can send out to you and if there is enough interest from MPFT staff, the choral leader for Derby Air Arts will come and deliver a workshop in person at one of our facilities.
Please respond to any of the above by emailing email@example.com
