A new project starting on Oak, an older adult & dementia ward at Redwoods - with dancer Rachel Liggitt and musician & storyteller Sal Tonge.

The project explores the use of movement and music - looking at the benefit of live music and the spontaneity that comes from having a musician and a dancer to take the session on a patient-led journey – a very exciting idea.

We had a fabulous first session with inpatients loving the opportunity to explore movement, sing along, clap and find expression through both voice and body… full of smiles, engagement, laughter and joy!!

We are grateful to Rachel and Sal for their expertise and bringing their gift to our inpatients.

Upcoming dates: 20 & 27 May, 10 June, 15 & 29 July
