A project bringing together different art forms to explore people’s experiences and responses to the pandemic.
- Music - at the heart of the project are two musicians – Sarah Whittingham (violin) and Richard Taylor (piano & composition) who are both members of the internationally renowned orchestra Manchester Camerata. Over the last few months they have performed a series of live music concerts for inpatients at St George’s in Stafford and The Redwoods Centre in Shrewsbury.
- Art & Words - our activity co-ordinators have worked with artist Debbie Todd and writer Jean Atkin, to engage with inpatients and gather their responses to the pandemic. Participants have responded using images and text to express their feelings - what has helped them through and what are they most looking forward to.
- Composition – Sarah & Richard will then create a new work inspired by these responses - to be performed at St Georges and Redwoods in the Autumn.
